Hi!
I'm glad to know that you are not only aware of the important changes that are occurring in Venezuela but are even promoting that revolution, and for you to get to know a little more of it i would like to let you know that one of the mottos of our Liberator is "Moral and lights are our first necessities" (the last one meaning "knowledge"). So i'll give you a bit of light (even if you haven't asked for it). When you name your URL "American for Chavez" you are just here referring to people from the States and that is geography and historic ignorance and with some persons this ignorance is backed up by arrogance, as if the American continent belonged to the USA or as if you were the only important people in our continent.
Thanks for your support and adieu.

How could you support a power hungry tyrant? The man has reaped enormous profits from the oil insutry, and what does Venezuela have to show for it? 3 million in Caracas alone live in deplorable conditions. And while the barrel of oil reachers its zenith...Venezuela depends solely on one industry, an industry that with time will fade. Yet the current president has used none of the oil profits to develop new industries that would propel venezuela into the 21st century! His complete misunderstanding of Marxist views is almost a laughable joke(is he willing to step down and let the masses rule themselves as outlined in the communist manifesto?) He sides with countries that have very little to offer venezuela, and fights against the single largest consumer of venezuelan oil. His complete control of the parliament is unheard of in any truly democratic and civilized nation. And his social programs are no more than a joke, an opium for the masses designed to propel his views forward. They solve nothing, he doesn\'t create jobs eating up the private industry. And a country with such splendid natural beauty has failed to cash in the tourist market because of his aggresive tyrade against the American goverment and its allies.

I think you are not critical enough of Hugo Chavez. I have family in Venezuela and the reality is that the poor keep getting poorer. He has become a totalitarian and has unlimited control for the next year and a half. This would scare anyone in the US and I wonder- why are the left not critical of Chavez? Can\'t they see through his words? Do not glorify this man. I am very critical of Bush and the type of capitalism we have in the US. We all need positive change and to de-militarize. Chavez is friends with some nasty cats- just like Bush! He is buying tons of weapons from Russia while the garbage piles up in the streets and while the pollution from leaded gasoline gets worse and worse (especially in Caracas). I am sick and tired of dictators (I don\'t care if they are elected of not) and tired of totalitarian guys running the world. Please Chavez- stop quoting Noam Chompsky because you are not really listening to his words.

Hello I live in New York City and I want to congratulate you for this wonderful website. Long live Chavez and the Bolivarian Revolution! Chavez serves as a beacon of hope for humanity. Unlike the corrupt zionist puppet controlled presidents of the United States, Chavez is the real deal helping his people and spreading the oil wealth of Venezuela evenly throughout the country.
Chavez\'s principled revolution is spreading throughout South America and hopefully will spread its way up north. Down with imperialism, down with zionism, long live Chavez and the socialist revolution of the 21st century!!

Hello from Australia: I want to express my solidarity with the people of Venezuela and their revolution. The people have the right to build a better society. It is called the right to self-determination. I was born and grew up in a capitalist Latin American country and I have seen the injustices of this system. I did not read this in a text book or someone told me. I was there. I strongly believe these injustices make people react and say \"no more\". There will always be those who oppose this but it does not mean that the struggles for liberation must be stopped. Change is inevitable and societies are not the exception.
I would also demand the US government to stop threatening and interfering in Venezuela. That is not your land. Most people in the world know, in spite of the propaganda, that the real interest the US has on Venezuela is to have control over their resources. Have a good look at the history and you will find gross violations of human rights all over the world by the US government.
In solidarity with the people of Venezuela and the socialist revolution!
Viva Venezuela!
Viva Cuba!
The truth always comes out!

I love your site. It\'s really interesting to see such devotion to an autocrst like Hugo Chavez. Well I also have been a gringo in Venezuela and my experiences have been the opposite of yours. I also have personal involvement with my friends in Venezuela and also my wife\'s family. Chavez is simply a narcissistic megalomaniac. The man is leading Venezuela down the path to ruin. I hope you\'re not there to go down with the ship, but when it does happen (and it will) you may be trampled by el comandante himself on his way to a safe refuge. Good luck in Chavezuela.

HUGO CHAVEZ IS GREAAAAT! just finished reading the venezuelan consitution. wish we had one like here in the u.s. to all the people of venezuelan who have posted your complaints about president chavez. i would like them to go back to venezuela and try and change things if you don\'t like it. if the rich people of venezuela had not stole all of the oil revenues for 75 years or more then today venezuela would be the richest country in the world. all rich people are thieves especially the rich americans, english, and venezuelians. I\'m a old white man and it does my heart good to see a president stand up for the poor and people of color.I would follow hugo chavez any day. in fact i\'m thinking about moving to venezuela. if you don\'t like president chavez, then i\'ll give you george bush. it would take 60 million george bushes to equal 1/4 of a hugo chavez. how do you like those apples huh?

hello first of all I\'m an alaskan native from anchorage alaska and the storys I heard about you are remarkable and very heart warming to say the least.First of all what ever that native comment was about the oil is probably false because the natives dont even run 3/4 of the native corps funny to think that but is very true and if any of the 3/4 do they probably have to much other in them and not enouph red blood to make a diffrence and the other 1/4 probably had an advisor to say the least I from the native corp Ciri they do help pay for school but cannot seem to ever get a reply back about work ever u see I\'m a father of 3 and husband to a very loyal wife and we are having some financial issues right now and would love to take the help you offered my people would sure help out theres not much in this country without credit and we have bad the only choice for someone with bad credit in this country is to deal with criminals that try to take kik you while you are down to help doesnt make sense my forfathers would turn over in there graves if they new how there america is turning out God speed we need you thank you for your time.god bless

Sorry, there is no revolution. Chavez has switched old corrupted politicians for new corrupted politicians. He keeps selling oil to USA, as other presidents did. He has not changed real problems in Venezuela. He has just played with people\'s will to change. He has fooled Venezuelans. Everyday there are more and more poor people. Sorry, that\'s the truth. You just have to visit Venezuela, and if you visited the country before Chavez, you will agree with me.
No countries around the World have developed themselves doing what Chavez is doing in Venezuela and Chavez is not doing a sole thing to develope Venezuela. An impoverished country with masses wishing to receive cheap meals from the Gov. are condemned to deal with poverty forever.
PS: did you know that a gas bottle in Venezuela is cheaper than a glass of mineral water? Do you think that a rich man driving a BMW needs cheap gas? Do you think that a really poor man in Venezuela has a car? Well, Chavez maintains gas assistance over 90% of its cost. That\'s just a small example about Venezuelan financial policies.

as you should know.... In FEB 1992 Chavez orchestrated a failed coup d\'état against that year former president Carlos Andrés Pérez. He was trying to \"save\" this contry ...(yes by the way i live in Venezuela .. you know the country where Chavez is president and everybody is poor now) well in that time venezuela\'s economy wasn\'t in its best phase, so Chavez was goin\' to stop democracy and impose dictatorship (dosn\'t it sound like a perfect picture for a country ?)even though the venezuelans weren\'t too happy with the situation of the country, that didn\'t mean that they would prefer a dictatorship (you know... like any country in the world).. so that\'s not it. If you had read something about our former President then you know that after that failed coup d\'état he was sent to jail... does it sound like a perfect example for a perfect president?, and , OK I recognize that one of the most known men for fighting against brutality was sent to jail too, but that is totaly diferent cuz he was going for the nonviolence, he lived a spiritual and ascetic life of prayer, fasting, and meditation and incorporeted the ahimsa to the indian religion. But Chavez au contraire is not such a fan of the non violence, let me bring you back what happend in April 2002, there was a national strike and the goverment decided that the best way to stop it was killin\' inocent people who wheren\'t breakin\' any kinds of institutional laws (art. 97 of the constitution HE approved) , you should search more about it, and he went to jail again , ok a 2 times prisoner president! after that strike, he fired all the oil engineers that where against him, guess how many of those people are now working driving a taxi?
by the way.. would you like to see your mom or daughter or sister or friend on tv being beated up to the point of almost killin\' her, puting her on a machine that helps her breath, not being able to keep fighting for what she belives (just like you, you belive in something and even thoug i don\'t like it i\'m respectin\' it... and giving you my opinion:)) by a police oficer ?( even u might not care , she is ok now, and her children arn\'t orphans) well if u get to search something about April 2002 you would know what i\'m talkin\' bout, but if u already know it then i can tell u that u don\'t belive in human rights.
Probably you love Chavez cuz you might love the revolution, and yes, indead, Venezuela needed one, but not one where \"The revolutionary\" only thinks about what\'s he is going to take from the rich and \"give\" to the poor, well i tell you that he took the oil from the \"wealthy\" population and gave it to HIS personal acount. OK he\'s kind of a hero, he paid other countries debts, but what about ours? Do you even know what is our external debt?...Just doing some maths with the price that the oil barrel reached like 6 moth ago ( 82 $ each one!!!) he could had paid our debt and 2 more from other countries, but he didn\'t paid venezuelas\'s, what kind of a president wants HIS country to be poor? only a president who wants a socialism but not a good one he doesn\'t want poor people to have more and get to be as wealthy as the highest social class, he wants to make the wealthy and not so wealthy ppl into poor population wich unfortunately is a majority, ok he has helped the poor doing something called \"Mercal\" where it sells a bag full of basic foods for a lower price than in any other market.. thats a good one.. but haven\'t u noticed the bad part? he\'s not makin\' them richer as he said he would, he is just making\' them to get used to be poor. And let me tell u ... the ppl that BELIVES in him (not the ones that just voted for him as part of commitment) don\'t really cares much of what he did, is doind or going to do for them, they like him because EVERYTIME he talks he says how important they are for him but in 8 YEARS he hasn\'t done much , if u REALLY think about it, not for them not for anyone. And it\'s not fair for us the people who LIVES HERE to live in a divided contry, u might have republicans and democrats but at the end of the day ,everyone, no matter wich political party u belive is (north )American just as your web\'s name, we have get to the point were the \"Opposition\" and the \"Chavistas\" can\'t stant or be with eachother. and that\'s not the part that would demostrate how tha country has gotten worse. well extacly 8 to 9 year ago Venezuela was the country with more foreigners in latin America now there are 16.000 immigrants only in florida just wait until the 2021 (doidng basic math)there would be 30.000 new imigrants and that\'s just florida.. you know the land of the cuban ppl who has escaped from the revolution that they supported, we might not be able to get there on a raft but u know desperation makes u do desperate things
You love cuz he gave u oil? what is he gonna give you when in maybe a few yaer from now the oil starts to be usless... the men has created tecnology and thing to make life more comfortable and the oil is something that we just discoverd and used it , but is not the day when someone somewhere (probably in your country)creats or discorvers something better? are u going to drink oil? or worse .. nobody knows how much oil we have left in venezuela(i got that from an campaign made by the goverment) we don\'t know if we have used hafl of it, or there\'s just left only oil enough to use for maybe 5 more years. Here we are blessed cuz to fill up a tank of a SUB only costs.. like... maybe the bigest one... 3 $ but our minimun salary heres is 166$ and 1 kg of chikens costs 23$.. so i think our destiny is to eat gas! Thnaks! AND I WOULD LOVE TO LIVE IN A COUNTRY WERE IF I DON\'T LIKE THE PRESIDENT I CAN STILL LIKE WHAT HE\'S DOING\' TO THE COUNTRY!

What do you know about Chavez? Why don\'t you move to Venezuela and try living in misery? Why don\'t you try making a living when your government bans you from working because of your political views? Why don\'t you stop campaigning for a despot and start realizing that this illusion in your head is just a fucked up idea that is killing half of our people and driving us in a path of destruction? Why don\'t you go marching and see how many bombs get thrown at you? or how many gun shots from Chavez\'s military you can avoid? Or how many deaths you have to witness from Chavez\'s military?

I am an American citizen, born and raised in the USA and am now living in Venezuela sinse 1999 and first I'll say thank you for your web site and second, I must say that this country, Venezuela will soon become the best, and one of the worlds most richest counties in the world to live in.
Soon, thousands of Americans will be fleeing America to find the Venezuelan dream. And not only Amercians but every race on earth who can afford to escape to Venezuela. At this moment and in the many years to come there will be no country like Venezuela, thanks to Presedent Hugo Chavez.
There has never ever been a presedent such as Hugo Chavez, and this I have seen with mine own eyes. And as long as He stays in power, the country will grow and prosper.
I would strongly advise my fellow Americans to start looking into moving to Venezuela now before it's too late, before you end up trapped against your own will within the good old USA.
Don't get me wrong, I will always love America, but it is very easy to see that America is not what it used to be and will never be the same again. Most Americans who move to Venezuela purchase property on Margarita Island which is much more calm and less political than the main land. But don't wait for things to get worse in the states, the time to start looking into a change in life is now, not many years from now, nut now. There are already thousands of Americans now living here and I am very thankful that I too was also given the opportunity to live here as well and build a new life of freedom for me and my family and be a part of the new Venezuela in its beginning stages of growth. Cheers

I traveled to Venezuela in April and witnessed first-hand President Hugo Chavez\'s inability to deal with the country\'s issues. Buying food for the poor to buy votes is not even a temporary solution to Venezuela\'s multiple internal problems. Venezuela’s problems can be solved, but Chavez’s way.
This man is dangerous; not to America (he poses no real threat to us) but to Venezuela. Although he may act like a clown (his nickname in the army was “Goofy”), he is intelligent enough to manipulate the impoverished, uneducated masses to keep himself in power. Sadly, Hugo Chavez (or “El Comandante” as he calls himself…that alone should set off alarms) has done next to nothing with this power except generate strange headlines in newspapers all over the world and contribute to the massive amount of corruption in Venezuela. I am not a Bush supporter, but I cannot believe a representative of a civilized country would refer to him as \"the devil\" in an international forum. An exaggeration of this sort is usually used by immature children. And you are supporting this politician? Please keep in mind: voting against Chavez does NOT mean a vote for Bush. Reactionary thinking such as this is not intelligent or reasonable.
I am constantly appalled that people take Hugo Chavez seriously, and I am very surprised to find that there is \"Chavez fan base\" here in America. If you love Venezuela at all (as I do), please read your history books and use some common sense before backing a politician like this.
Thank you for your time.

Hello compatriotas....... Viva la Revolucion Revolution!!! Viva Chavez vivaaaaa.... Viva Venezuelaaaaaaaa.
