You should be ashamed to have a website like this on the internet. Chavez is an absolute leftist that goes against all the principles we have in our great country. If you really are an American and you are for Chavez, shame on you. You should discontinue posting this garbage on the internet as to not pollute the minds of weak people who get influenced easily by people like yourselves. You are absolutely right: Chavez pretends to help the poor since they are easily influenced because they have nothing. Somebody offers them a little and they praise that person. Unfortunately, Chavez is a monster who is living it large in Venezuela with everything he has taken from the people. Look up the facts on this idiot and your opinions on the man will change. His indigenous mannerisms by far don\'t even make him look like a president. He stands on a podium ranting things that only a moron can come up with and the poor people cheer. I can\'t believe that in this day in age, their are people who think like you guys. Mind boggling! This is a disgrace. If you are American and like Chavez so much, go live in his crappy system.
Good Day!

Are you people serious? Do you have any conception of what this tin-horn clown has done to his country? Are you aware of his attempted, and failed, power grab last December? Have any of you studied history? Apparently not, for if you had you\'d have recognized that this man is pure-blown, gold plated buffoon. There is nothing good to be said of his so-called \"revolution\" - it\'s a joke. He appealed to the poor in Venezuela by providing low-cost staples and so forth. \"Provided\" as in the past tense. Even his former supporters in his own country are fairly angry about the fact that all they are able to get now is whiskey - no rice, no bread, no milk. Now he\'s yacking about going to war with Columbia in order to draw attention away from the fact that his economics, which are closely related to a Ponzi scheme (look it up), are a blatant failure. He is destroying his own country - is this an admirable leader in your eyes?
Just so we\'re clear, I despise George Bush and everything he does, says and thinks. He\'s a miserable president, just as your hero is a miserable dictator. Read and book or two, and see the light; you\'re backing a person who is crushing his own people. Some revoluntionary he is.

I am concerned you have the wrong idea about Chavez. You can argue about all the great things he has done for Venezuela or argue against them, but things have changed in Venezuela and not for the better. What I suggest here is not in politics that debate could go on forever. I will respectfully keep my own opinions in that matter to myself. Venezuela has always been a proud nation, a nation with a strong culture, and a strong sense of justice. Lately you can see a change in those aspects. The country is still proud, but you can see a change. It is no longer a pride that comes from being something that is special, but a pride that comes from being looked at and willingness to get aggressive if you don’t like what you see. Its sense of justice not politically, but through the people has a whole has changed. Crimes and Drugs have been constantly increasing, and Chavez has youth groups that behave like gangs terrorizing the people if they don’t follow the same ideology. Culturally Venezuela has been devastated. From a “help thy neighbor attitude” and an effort to live an honest life with the knowledge that you have lived a good life, to a culture that is filled with hate for the other classes, and an attitude of what can I get, and how can I get more power. Underlined just the other day by two police officers that walked into my local bank and bragged out loud while cutting the long line, about all the power they now had and how they could now extort money from people without any repercussion. Ten years ago that would never have occurred police officers though had a sense of duty to at least do justice. I think back before Chavez and think how the people in general thought and acted it was a happier time.
Another concern of mine is where you’re getting your information. Many of the articles, which I took the time to read, misrepresent the truth of what occurred, and shine a bright light on Chavez. For example I assume you are fluent or well versed in Spanish watch the “The XVII Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State, held in Chile from November 8-10” and then read the article you’ve posted and you will see the article fails in representing the truth in what occurred. On paper the programs look good and the stories written about them make it look completely different to the reality of the situation. First of all you will be hard pressed to find Venezuelan news sources that disagree with the views of Chavez. Simply put through deaths, kidnappings, and threats the news has had to conform to what the government wants them to say. “There is no free media”. Repeatedly Chavez gets praised for his spreading the national wealth. I will not argue that fact since I am sure you have plenty of satisfactory examples, but I can’t help but wonder how deep your research goes. As a person who lives there I fail to see it. What I see is a shift in the classes. The middle class is being eradicated and turned into the poor and the few rich are turned into the middle class. Those willing to abuse power given to them or do business illegally are the new upper class. Many of the officers and governors in Chavez’s political party are becoming wealthy enough to own suits that only the mega rich would wear. A perfect example of how rich would be their willingness to purchase Armani ties that are $1700. Many of them own several cars in the $100,000 range. On the other side of the spectrum the working class that own cars can barely afford to keep them running you drive down the road at night and you have to be carful not to hit another car that has all of its lights burnt out and the person can’t afford to replace the lights.
The Bolivarian Mission page on paper looks like a complete success, but how much of a success is it for the people it serves. If you delve into it more you might find specific failures that should bother you. As Americans who value your freedoms of speech, and thought; these failures should ask you to question this movement even more. Mission Robinson: Who is teaching these people and what are they being taught to read? Most of the Teachers and Military personnel used for this project were Cuban nationalists. My countries children are being brain washed at school and rewarded if they reveal anyone who speaks openly against the government, especially if it’s their parents. The government is starting to institute a youth custodial program that in short gives the state custody of the children from ages 4 to 18. As Americans wouldn’t you prefer to have a say on how your child is raised? The Zamora Mission is also a great example take a look at your literature and do you realize that the Venezuelan Beef industry, which was one of our strongest industries, was practically destroyed by this mission. The land that they distributed for this project was land that was used by some of the largest private beef ranches in the state. The method of taking the ranch involved armed military personnel forcing the workers and owners out at gunpoint. On thing you need to know is the land is only good for one thing cattle grazing it can not support crops, but people went there by the thousands most with no knowledge or experience in growing crops. Many have failed in growing crops and now struggle to survive more so than before the mission.
Please make sure you know everything about this revolution before you try to sell it to your country and understand it is not just Bush, but the American government Chavez hates and he uses it as a tool to excuse his actions and make him more legitimate. The oil he provides to the states in the US is to gain world legitimacy through your senators and government officials people who are then obligated to say thanks and more because if they say no the people they represent most of whom do not care about the current state of Venezuela might not elect them again. Chavez has an incredibly strong propaganda machine and since he controls the media in the country its hard for you to get these facts. Hope, this causes you to reevaluate your web site since your site also creates a sense of legitimacy. Seeing that your web site is based in Colorado, I asked a friend who lives in Colorado to tell me about its people. I understand that in many cases your people are free thinking individuals with a strong sense of right and wrong. He also tells me it is hard to get real information involving what is really happening in Venezuela. Hopefully this will help clear the picture a little.
Have a great day.
